We added a new dial by extension feature today where you can allow your callers to enter an employee’s extension anytime during the greeting. From there you can announce the instructions for your phone menu.
For example: “If you know the extension of the person you are trying to reach you may enter it at anytime. Press 1 for sales, press 2 for support, etc.”
To add the feature, open the IVR menu action in your call flow, and under Advanced, check off “Allow Extensions”.
