We launched our mobile app and it’s now available to download for iPhone and Android. With the app, you can bring your own device to work and use it to make business calls separate from your personal line. The app works as a softphone on your mobile device to give you most of the same features you would get on an IP phone, so you could run an entire phone system for your business using just mobile devices.
- Inbound and outbound calling with your Telzio phone number
- Transfer calls to other extensions or external phone numbers
- Place calls on hold
- Record calls anytime during a call
- Access your personal contact list
- Call through either the data or cellular network
- Create conference calls
- Set speed dial preferences
You can log into multiple devices at the same time with one user, like your IP phone, mobile app and desktop softphone. There’s no limit to the number of devices you can log into with a single user. By using the same login, all your devices will ring at the same time and you can answer calls on any one of them. With your users, you can also set personalized voicemails, hold music and extensions.
See Setting Up Telzio’s Mobile Softphone App for help on getting started.
Our softphone doesn’t work on desktop computers yet, but you can be sure we’re working on it. In the meantime, you can use a third-party app like CounterPath if you need a VoIP softphone for your Mac or Windows. CounterPath has a free softphone called X-Lite and a paid version for $49.99 called Bria. Here is a comparison on the difference between the two versions. We wrote a guide on How to Set Up X-Lite for Mac, and How to Set Up X-Lite for Windows. Phew! Now you have all the softphones you need to connect to any device – computers, IP phones and mobile phones.
Our goal at Telzio is to make it as easy as possible for you to stay connected to your phone system, whether you’re in the office or on the road. If you have suggestions on how we can improve the service, we’d love to hear from you! Just write us at email@example.com or leave a comment below.
