Recording Greetings

Telzio enables you to record greetings for your Phone Menus, Voicemail, and Conferences directly through your web browser.

Before you can record through your browser, you’ll need to allow Telzio to access your microphone.

In this article, you’ll learn how to enable your microphone for recording greetings with Telzio. These instructions apply to Google Chrome, the recommended browser for using Telzio.


Get Started

  1. Navigate to your Call Flow, and open the Menu, Voicemail, or Conference where you want to record a greeting.
  2. Click Record.
  3. When you click Record for the first time, you’ll get a popup window saying:
    “www.telzio.com wants to use your microphone”
  4. Click Allow.
  5. Your microphone is now enabled and you can proceed to record a greeting.

Troubleshooting

When you click Record and get a message saying,”Your microphone is not enabled”, follow these steps to enable your microphone:

  1. Navigate to the upper right corner of your browser and click on the camera icon.
  2. Select the option that says: “Always allow https://www.telzio.com to access your microphone”
  3. Click Done.
  4. Your microphone is now enabled and you can proceed to record a greeting.

Time Limits

The maximum length for a greeting recorded directly through your browser is 45 seconds. You can create a longer greeting by uploading an audio file – up to 6 MB.

Tip: Upload your audio file as an MP3 in 8kHz mono to create a longer greeting.
