A whitelist is a group of items, or phone numbers in this case, that are approved. Telzio offers a spam blocking feature that filters incoming calls for telemarketers and then blocks them from reaching your business. In order to avoid certain phone numbers from being blocked by the spam filter, we’ve added a whitelist feature that’s now available on your Account Settings page.
You can enable the spam blocking feature at a standard level or an aggressive level, which automatically references a national database and then determines if the call is likely to be spam. You can also block numbers by adding them to a blacklist. In the blacklist, you can block specific phone numbers or entire countries.
If you have an entire country banned on your blacklist, you can still whitelist a phone number from that country to allow incoming and/or outgoing calls from that number only.
In the example below, all inbound and outbound calls to/from the 800 number are blocked. All inbound and outbound calls to/from the 888 number are approved. And all inbound calls from the 234 country code are blocked.
