With all plans, Telzio includes a conference call feature that enables you to give callers a PIN code and dial into a conference bridge. You can use a dedicated phone number for conference calls, or simply add it as an option to your IVR menu – i.e. To join a conference call, please press 5.
While each caller that dials into a conference call will each count as an inbound call and each use up minutes accordingly (3 callers for 10 minutes = 30 minutes), your employees can join conference calls for free without using up any of your plan minutes. Internal calling (extension to extension) is always free, and that includes conference calls.
Here’s how you do it.
Instead of dialing your own phone number to be connected to the conference call, you can call the extension of your call flow, so it’s like calling another extension.
To give your call flow an extension, go to your dashboard, click on the call flow, and next to the call flow name, hit the wheel to open the settings and there you can enter a 2 digit extension.
Now have your employees dial that 2 digit extension from any office phone and reach your call flow to then get onto the conference call.
This way you can invite as many members of your team to a conference call as needed, and pay nothing extra!
