Grandstream DP720 Setup Guide

How to provision Grandstream DP720 devices and start taking calls with Telzio today.

The DP720 works with its base station, the DP750. Each base station can handle up to 5 handsets and 10 users.

In this article, you’ll learn how to configure a Grandstream DP720 to use with Telzio.

If you’ve previously used the phone with a different provider, you should do a factory reset on the phone first.

Steps to provision Grandstream DP720 phones with Telzio:

1. Log into the phone's web interface
2. Configure the handset profile
3. Configure the DECT settings

Log into the phone’s web interface

1. Connect the base station to your internet and power up the handset - within a few minutes, they should automatically find each other and pair up
2. On the handset, navigate to Menu > Settings > Status
3. Scroll down to IP Address
4. Type the IP address into your web browser to find the phone’s configuration page. i.e. 192.168.0.5
5. Log in with the following default credentials:
   • Username: admin
   • Password: admin

Configure the handset profile

1. From the top menu, navigate to Profiles > Profile 1 > Network Settings
2. Set NAT Traversal to NO (if you ever experience issues with receiving calls, try setting the NAT Traversal setting to STUN)
3. Click Save and Apply

Configure the DECT settings

1. From the top menu, navigate to DECT > SIP Account Settings
2. Enter these settings under Account 1:
   • SIP Server: sip.telzio.com
   • SIP User ID: Enter your username
   • Authenticate User ID: Enter your username again
   • Password: Enter your password
   • Name: Enter your name
   • Profile: Profile 1
   • HS Mode: HS1
   • Active: Yes
3. Click Save and Apply
4. Navigate to DECT > Handset Line Settings in the top menu
5. Select your username next to each handset under Line 1
6. Click Save and Apply
