How to configure a fax number with Telzio, and common reasons why you may not be able to send or receive a fax.
Set a fax number
To convert a phone number into a fax line, navigate to Plans & Numbers and click on the phone number.
Under Inbound Call Destination, select Fax.
Here are common reasons you may not be able to fax.
There are no fax numbers on your account
You need at least one phone number on your account to enable faxing from the dashboard.
No Default Number Assigned to the User
Each User needs to have a phone number assigned in order to enable faxing from the dashboard. To assign a phone number to a user, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Users and click on the user
- Click on Outbound Phone Number and select a number
No default user assigned as the account owner
If you’re logged in as an Account Owner, you’ll need to make sure you have a default user selected in order to enable faxing from the dashboard. To assign a default user, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Account Settings
- Scroll down to Preferences
- Under Default User Assigned to Account Owner, select a user from the drop down list.
Maximum registration exceeded
Faxing from the dashboard may become disabled if you have too many instances of fax running. Close out any additional browsers where you have fax open.
Faxing from the dashboard may be disabled on some browsers. The recommended browser for using Telzio is Chrome.
