Reassign text messages
How to reassign text messages to other users from the dashboard and the mobile app.
As a Telzio user, you can reassign a text message to another user to take over that conversation.
The user taking over the message thread will be notified via email that a message has been reassigned to them, and they'll be able to view prior messages in the thread.
Reassign a message from the dashboard
- Navigate to SMS
- Click on the message to be reassigned
- Click on Reassign
- Select the user from the drop down and click Assign
After reassigning a message, the message will no longer be visible to you. If you need access to this message thread, you will need to request the user who is now assigned the thread to reassign it back to you. Additionally, you can contact your Telzio Administrator to reassign it on their behalf.
Reassign a message from the mobile app
- Open the Telzio app and select Messages from the bottom menu
- Click on the message to be reassigned
- Click on the ellipsis icon (three dots) in the upper right corner and click Assigned To
- Select a user or group from the list
- Click Assign to save the change
The message thread will no longer be visible to you in the app unless you assigned it a group you are a member of. If you need access to this message thread, you will need to request the user who is now assigned the thread to reassign it back to you. Additionally, you can contact your Telzio Administrator to reassign it on their behalf.
