Click-to-Call Browser Extension

Quickly call a phone number on any webpage from your browser with our click-to-call browser extension.

The Telzio Click-to-Call browser extension allows you to seamlessly initiate calls from your browser using your Telzio account simply by clicking on the number.

How to install the browser extension for Chrome

Currently, Click-to-Call is only available in Google Chrome.

  1. Visit the Chrome Web Store in your browser.
  2. In the search bar, type "Telzio" and press Enter. From the search results, locate the Telzio Click-to-Call extension.
  3. Click on the Add to Chrome button next to the extension. A pop-up will appear asking if you want to add the extension. Click Add Extension.

The extension will begin downloading and automatically install in your Chrome browser. Once installed, the Telzio extension icon will appear in your browser toolbar, located in the top right corner.

Select your preferred click-to-call device

Before using the Telzio Click-to-Call extension, make sure you select the device you wish to use for making calls. This step ensures that the extension connects to the correct device when you initiate a call.

  1. Open the Extension Settings

    • Click on the Telzio extension icon in your Chrome toolbar.
    • A drop-down menu will appear. Click on the settings icon (3-dots) to open the extension's preferences.

  2. Choose Your Preferred Device

    • In the settings menu, select the device you want to use (e.g., the Telzio Webphone, your desk phone, or Telzio Mobile App).
    • If you are using the Telzio Webphone make sure that you are logged into your dashboard first.

How to use the browser extension

Once you have installed the extension and selected your device, you can start using the Click-to-Call extension to make calls directly from your browser. Browse the web as usual. When you come across a phone number you wish to call (on a website, in an email, or in a CRM tool) use Click-to-Call to dial the number.

If your preferred device is the Telzio Webphone, Click-to-Call will open a new tab with the number ready to be called. If you selected "desk phone or mobile app" your device will ring first. Pick up the call and you can start your conversation when the call connects.

  1. Click on the number.

    • If the phone number number is formatted properly (e.g., clickable) you can click on the number to immediately dial or call it.
    • Use your mouse to hover over the phone number and click on the phone button that appears.
    • Use your mouse to also select/highlight the phone number on the page, right-click the selection, and press call "phone number".
    • You can click on the click on the Telzio extension icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the numpad and dial the phone number there.

  2. When the call is finished, simply hang up the call.

How to uninstall the browser extension in Chrome

If you no longer wish to use the Telzio Click-to-Call Chrome Extension, you can easily uninstall it from your browser.

  1. Open Chrome Extensions Page
    Go to the Chrome Extensions page by typing chrome://extensions in the address bar.

  2. Find the Telzio Click-to-Call Extension
    Locate the Telzio Click-to-Call extension in the list of installed extensions.

  3. Remove the Extension

    • Click on the Remove button next to the extension.
    • Confirm by clicking Remove again in the pop-up.

    The extension will be uninstalled from your browser.
