Parking calls
How to park calls from any Telzio phone and set up dedicated call parking extensions on Yealink and Grandstream phones.
Call parking enables you to place a call on hold, and pick up any other phone in your organization to resume the same call.
Park a call
- Press Transfer while on a call
- Dial 40 and press Attended Transfer
- Listen for the announcement with the parking extension where the call is on hold
- Dial the parking extension from any Telzio phone in your organization to resume the call
Using this simple call parking method, the call parking extension may change. For example, when you transfer a call to extension 40 and listen for the parked extension, it may be 41.
You can also configure the multi-purpose keys on your desk phones as designated Call Parking extensions, or “parking lots.” Refer to your user manual guide for programming the multi-purpose keys on your device.
Dedicated call parking
Unlike simple call parking, dedicated call parking enables you to park calls using a dedicated button on your phone. You can then press the same button on another phone to pick up the call.
Simple call parking and dedicated call parking cannot be used simultaneously.
Dedicated call parking is only available on phones that support the feature, such as Yealink and Grandstream phones.
How to use dedicated call parking
- When you’re on an active call, press the softkey you’ve configured
- The line key on both your phone and the phone on which you’ve parked the call will begin to flash
- Press the line key on the destination phone to answer the call
