Transferring calls

How to transfer calls with Telzio and the different types of call transfers.

You can transfer a call to an extension, a phone number, and directly to someone's voicemail.

Attended transfer

An attended transfer is when you speak to the other user before transferring a call to their extension.

To complete an attended transfer, follow these steps:

  1. Press transfer
  2. Dial the extension
  3. When the call connects, you can speak to the user
  4. Press send or transfer again to complete the transfer
  5. Hang up the phone

Warm transfer

A warm transfer is similar to an attended transfer, but allows the warm introduction that includes the caller, the callee, and the person to whom the call is being transferred.

The following steps apply to the Telzio Mobile App, and are not yet supported by the Telzio Webphone.

To complete a warm transfer:

  1. Press the add call button found in the in-call menu of the app
  2. Use your contact list or dial the extension
  3. When the call connects, press join to patch the two calls together
  4. Once connected, proceed with a warm introduction
  5. Press att. transfer button to drop out of the call

The call between the other two parties will remain connected.

Blind transfer

A blind transfer is when you transfer an active call directly to another user without speaking to them first.

To complete a blind transfer:

  1. Press the transfer button
  2. Dial the extension of the person you want to transfer the call to
  3. Press the send or transfer button to initiate the call transfer
  4. Hang up the phone

Transfer to voicemail

To transfer a call to voicemail:

  2. Dial 0 + the extension

Transfer to a phone number

You can transfer a call to a non-Telzio phone number the same way as a blind or attended transfer. Instead of dialing the extension, dial the phone number where you want to transfer the call.
